SAMHSA
SAMHSA, the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration, is an agency of the US Department of Health & Human Services, offering information and resources aimed at improving the quality and availability of prevention, treatment, and rehabilitative services for people suffering from substance abuse or mental illness.
Their website offers contact information, programs, guides, publications, and a variety of other resources that are available. Publications are available free by mail and many are also available as downloads in PDF format.
On this page are several self-help guides that are published by SAMHSA. Eight publications are available separately here, along with a single file containing all eight documents, for convenience. Each of these guides has been made public domain by SAMHSA, and as such they are free to copy, print, and distribute without obtaining permission. They may not be reproduced or distributed for a fee without the specific written permission of SAMHSA.
