| The living room-hallway-upstairs hallway area features an open layout with a "balcony" on the upper level, and curved stepped which "demark" each area as we move from one to the next.
Or should I say "used to."
Some of the water damage was repaired, but I have no idea what that board is holding up.

A wrought bannister encloses the balcony and winds along the edge of the stairway. Note the figurine, a reminder of more civilized times, as are some of the paintings upstairs. |

At the top of the stairs, we get a better view of the ceiling damage, and an idea of what it was like in its "glory."
