Before we head up the stairs to the kitchen, we will take a short tour of the basement and garage. First we have to clear the blockage in front of the doors to these rooms, which are to the right of the stacks of boxes in this photo.
Once past the barricade, the basement door opens to reveal storage of some vintage audio gear, the home plumbing, heating and cooling systems, and, mostly, boxes for all sorts of electronic equipment.
