On the first day of Cedar Point's annual "Coastermania" event, members of ACE and other rollercoaster clubs are granted entry to the park hours before it opens to the public for exclusive ride time on select coasters. On this, the opening year of Millennium Force, the new coaster was of course the feature attraction of the morning. Before even the entrance to the queue line was opened, excited rollercoaster enthusiasts lined up ahead of the ride's gate in anticipation of their first ride on this groundbreaking attraction.
The line passes the currently sleeping Mantis, which is located along the edge of the Cedar Point lagoon. In the distance, the two hills of Millennium Force which cross the lagoon seem to gleam in the bright morning sunlight.
